The Owners loved the barn-like appearance of their home (originally built in 1945), but they had simply outgrown it. We returned a converted garage back to its original condition, relocated the kitchen, added a family room at the rear of the home, and created 4 bedrooms with a play loft on the new upper level. We were able to preserve portions of the original upper floor structure, brick fireplace and entry Dutch door.

Helping them turn their ideas into reality was more play than work. A twisting metal slide brings you down from the play loft, an old-fashioned drinking fountain reduces glass washing, and sliding barn doors conceal utility areas. The back yard is perfectly suited for a family of all boys, complete with swimming pool, built-in sand box and in-ground trampoline!
